GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Grace Point Church will hold its 8th annual Hog Roast to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Friday, August 2, from noon to 5 p.m. Last year’s event raised over $20,000.

Organizers Julie and Tim Bell announced this year’s event will feature a silent auction with high-quality items, live music by Bullet Band from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and a robust meal. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, fresh-cut fries, smoky baked beans, coleslaw, brownie sundaes, and drinks. A “Hog Through” option is available for those avoiding buns, and kid’s meals are $5.

The Hog Roast is a massive volunteer effort supported by over 120 church members and numerous local sponsors who donate hogs, processing, shirts, ice, water, buns, BBQ sauce, and even the stage.

Despite church construction, organizers confirm the event will proceed smoothly. The theme, “Building Tomorrow’s Together,” highlights both the church’s growth and St. Jude’s mission to ensure children have a future.

Donations for the silent auction are still being accepted (new items preferred). Find more information on Grace Point Church’s website and Facebook page.
