COLUMBUS, OHIO (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW) – Recent Buckeye Central High School graduate Lincoln Milligan is the 2025 Rumpke Waste & Recycling Scholarship for Crawford County winner. This scholarship awards $1,000.00 to a graduate from Crawford County pursuing a two or four-year degree at an accredited institution, including vocational/trade schools.

Winners are chosen based on their commitment to their academics, environmental stewardship, and desire to serve the community. Lincoln plans to attend Miami University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following his undergrad, Lincoln aims to become a mechanical engineer and solve problems that will positively impact the world.

“Through Robotics Club, I learned the joy of innovation and curiosity,” he wrote. “I acknowledge how difficult the field of mechanical engineering is, but I believe with enough hard work and dedication, anything is possible.”

Lincoln’s Buckeye Central Robotics Team designed and built a competitive robot that won them Design and Innovation Awards, along with a Tournament Championship that earned them a state bid. He also held leadership roles as Vice President of the senior class and Secretary of Buckeye Central’s National Honor Society Chapter.

“Lincoln’s impressive portfolio of strong academic and athletic stewardship and leadership experience makes us pleased to award his hard work and dedication with this scholarship,” said Rumpke Regional Vice President Mark O’Brien.

Congratulations, Lincoln. We wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors!
