The Crestline Police Department is investigating two armed robberies that occurred in homes this past month.

A Crestline resident reported to police that armed robbers entered his house on North Crestline Street while he was locked in a bedroom on Aug. 5. Officers discovered that the suspects had fled upon their arrival, reportedly leaving the scene in a red Grand Am.

At 4 a.m. on Aug. 19, police responded to another armed robbery. The victim of the crime said three suspects, two of which were reportedly armed, had entered the home and stole a large sum of money before fleeing on foot. Police and Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies searched the area but did not locate the suspects. Crestline police did not reveal the address of the second crime but stated that it was on the south side of Crestline.

Both crimes remain under investigation. Anyone with information concerning these two armed robberies can call the Crestline Police Department at 419-689-2222. Tips can remain anonymous.
