BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Wombat Solar is inviting young artists in Crawford County to participate in its First Annual Youth Earth Day Art Contest.
The contest, which is accepting submissions until April 17, encourages children to express their passion for nature through paintings, drawings, and collages.
“This contest is a fun way for students across Crawford County to get creative and celebrate Earth Day! We can’t wait to see how they bring the theme to life through their artwork and show what protecting our planet means to them,” said Leah Cordy, director of Community Relations for Wombat Solar.
The contest will award one grand prize to an artist in each of three age categories: kindergarten through 4th grade, 5th through 8th grade, and high school. All other entries will receive a small participation prize.
Artwork must fit on an 8.5×11 inch piece of paper and include the artist’s first and last name, school, grade, and a parent or guardian contact number on the back.
Submissions can be dropped off at the Wombat Solar office, located at 100 W Rensselaer St, Bucyrus, OH 44820, on Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., or mailed to the same address.
Winners will be announced on Monday, April 21, and their artwork will be displayed.
