BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—On Thursday, two men were arraigned in the Crawford County Common Pleas Court on serious sexually oriented offenses.

Jonathon Weis, 35, of Bucyrus, faces an indictment on twenty counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, with each count classified as a second-degree felony. If convicted, Weis could face over 100 years in prison. Following the arraignment, the Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge placed Weis under a bond of $1,500,000. Bucyrus attorney Andrew Motter has been appointed to represent him.

In a separate case, Jerry Harper, 36, of Galion, was indicted on a single count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, also a second-degree felony. Judge Leuthold set Harper’s bond at $750,000, and he will be represented by Bucyrus attorney Brad Starkey.
Both cases have raised significant concerns within the community, and further proceedings are expected in the coming weeks.
