Twenty-five-year-old Willis Clary of Bucyrus will not only be doing time in prison but he’ll also spend extra time on probation.

Clary pleaded guilty to a felony five drug possession charge and was sentenced to serve eight months in prison. His driver’s license was suspended for six months, he was fined $1,250, and he was ordered to forfeit drug-related property being held to the Bucyrus Police Department.

Clary also admitted to violating his probation when he possessed prescription drugs not prescribed to him and failed to report to his police contact. As a result, Judge Sean Leuthold extended Clary’s community control to five years – or an extra two years tacked on to his original three years on community control. The community control will be tolled until Clary completes his eight-month prison sentence.

Tasshawn Jones pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine, a fifth-degree felony for the first time offender. The 20-year-old Bucyrus man was ordered to serve five years on community control. Should he fail that, Jones could be sentenced to 12 months in prison.

“I think you’ve probably heard of my reputation by now,” Leuthold said to Jones in reference to the judge’s strict enforcement of community control.

“Yes, sir,” Jones replied.

“If you don’t (follow community control), things won’t go well for you,” Leuthold warned.

Jones was fined $1,250, had his driver’s license suspended for six months, and was ordered to forfeit drug-related property being held to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
