Ronald Urho Lehtomaki, Jr., age 60, of Galion, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, after a rich and fulfilling life. Born on June 30, 1964, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to the late Ronald Lehtomaki,Sr. and Anna (Nester) Tanner.
Ron proudly earned his high school diploma from Rittman High School, class of 1982. He served his country in The United States Army. He then went on to have a long career as a truck driver. He reveled in the freedom of the open road, but his true joy came from the time he spent with family. A passionate deer hunter, he thrilled in the adventures shared with his beloved Uncle Jerry. Ron was also an avid sports fan, wearing his allegiance to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes with pride. He cherished the long conversations that flowed easily with loved ones, often laughing, reflecting, or sharing stories from his life.
As we remember Ron, let us carry his love for family, his passion for life, and those unforgettable long talks into our hearts. Though he has left us, his spirit will forever be a part of our lives. Rest in peace, Ron. You will be deeply missed, but your love will live on in the many lives you touched.
Left to cherish Ron’s memories are his five beloved children: Cheyenne Lehtomaki, Sharee (Tommy) DiToto, Ronald (Sage) Lehtomaki, III, Kelsey (Johnathan) Hatfield, and Lucas (Meghan) Lehtomaki. He leaves behind a vibrant legacy that extends through his 12 grandchildren, who adored their grandpa and filled his heart with immense joy. Ron had a long time friend\father figure, Mitchell Vaughn.
