James William Marshall, age 68, of Galion passed away Monday, November 25, 2024 in OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
He was born March 22, 1956 in Galion to the late William J. and Fannie L. (Akers) Marshall.
James worked as a truck driver for Malo Brothers and La Vants predominately hauling scrap metal. He also enjoyed scrap collecting on his own and tearing things apart, always looking for that hidden treasure. He loved mushrooms, his dog, and McDonald’s cappuccino. What brought him the most joy was playing with his great grandchildren.
He is survived by siblings Jerry (Pat) Marshall, Rhonda (James) Duncan all of Galion, grandchildren Joseph “Joey” Marshall and Thomas Marshall, great grandchildren Stone and Nova, niece and nephew Heather Duncan and Myles Duncan, and special friend Terri Jo Kingan.
James was preceded in death by his sons Joseph and James Marshall.
Friends may call Monday, December 2, 2024 from 2:30 to 4 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral service will follow at 4 pm. Pastor Chris Spencer will officiate.
Interment will be at a later date in Shauck Cemetery.
