Join a Crawford Park District Naturalist for an hour-long hike through the trails and woods, experiencing the vibrant changes in our natural resources that come with fall. From the color of the leaves to the calls of the birds, this hike offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature.

Face to Face: Snakes at Lowe-Volk Park

On Tuesday, October 15, at 5 p.m., the Crawford Park District invites you to meet the snake ambassadors of the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center up close. This hour-long program allows participants to touch some of Ohio’s native snakes, ranging from the small Gartersnake to the massive Gray Ratsnake, while learning about their life cycle and unique adaptations.

Who Gives a Hoot? Owl Program at Lowe-Volk Park

Join the Crawford Park District on Friday, October 18, at 5:30 p.m. for an engaging program about owls, presented by guest programmer Jeff Large from Hocking Hills. Learn about the fascinating adaptations that make owls exceptional birds of prey and get an up-close look at two live owls. Lowe-Volk Park is located 3 miles north of US Route 30.
