Cheryl Sue Moore, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Cheryl was born to the late Harold and Mary (Howell) Brown on March 25, 1947, in New Paris, Ohio.

She was a dedicated military wife who stood as the backbone of her family, providing unwavering support through thick and thin. Cheryl and Larry Moore tied the knot on October 16, 1965, embarking on a beautiful journey together.

Cheryl’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her family as she dedicated 15 years to teaching special needs children at Head Start. Upon retirement, she and Larry indulged in their shared passion for travel, navigating the world hand in hand. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she was an exemplary wife, mother, and grandmother.

She and Larry found solace in the open road as a proud member of the Gold Wing Road Riders, The Mansfield chapter. Cheryl found joy in life’s simple pleasures, cherishing moments with a good book, challenging crossword puzzles, and her favorite, Sudoku. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, and canning, with Larry being especially fond of her homemade spaghetti.

In her love for her family and hobbies, Cheryl left a lasting impression on all those she encountered. As her journey on Earth ends, her memory will live on through the lives she touched.

Left to cherish Cheryl’s memories are her husband; Larry Moore, children; Melynda (Gary Jr.) Kunk, of Versailles, Brent (Janelle) Moore, of Galion, grandchildren; Eric (Haley) Cain, Caleshya (Chris) Minnich, Joe (Amber) Cain, Ashleigh (Steve) McDaniel, Justin (Danyel) Moore, Tyler (Hannah) Moore, Austin (Jada) Prosser, Colton Moore, and 19 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Along with Cheryl’s parents, she is preceded in death by brother; Gary (Carol) Brown and nephew; Tony Brown.
