GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Jennifer A. Salisbury, a 46-year-old resident of Galion, is currently facing a slew of legal issues following her recent alleged crimes.

Initially pleading not guilty to drug charges a few months ago in Crawford County Common Pleas Court, Salisbury now finds herself facing additional charges in connection with a tragic overdose death.

The Galion Police Department’s investigation into Salisbury’s activities led to the discovery of incriminating evidence, prompting the authorities to bring forth new charges against her. Salisbury’s compounded issues began when she pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of drugs (heroin), a fourth-degree felony, back in March.

Her bond was set at $10,000 after she was apprehended during a search warrant execution at a residence on South Union Street in Galion on February 28.

Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall explained that Salisbury remained out on bond until the Galion Police Department concluded its drug investigation.

However, the discovery of additional evidence linking Salisbury to an overdose death led to further legal action. Crall revealed, “Upon receiving confirmation of the cause of death, Ms. Salisbury was indicted by the grand jury for involuntary manslaughter on May 21.”

In addition to the involuntary manslaughter charge, Salisbury also faces indictments for corrupting another with drugs, a felony of the second degree, as well as trafficking in drugs (Fentanyl), a fifth-degree felony.

Salisbury entered a not-guilty plea to all three new charges during her arraignment on May 22 and is currently being detained on a $500,000 bond. Crawford County Now will continue to follow this developing story.
