STRONGSVILLE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)–Clayton Herold, President of the Crestline Lions Club, was honored as the Lion of the Year for District 13-OH2 Zone 5 at the annual convention held from April 12th to 14th in Strongsville, Ohio. The prestigious award was presented by District Governor Julianne Zody during the awards luncheon on Saturday, April 13th.

Zone 5 comprises Lions Clubs in Bucyrus, Colonel Crawford, Crestline, and Upper Sandusky. Herold’s recognition underscores his significant contributions to the Crestline community and the Lions Club since he assumed the presidency in January 2022.
Under Herold’s leadership, the Crestline Noon Lions Club has been a beacon of community service in Crestline and the surrounding areas. One of the club’s notable achievements is the establishment of the Leo Club at Crestline High School. This initiative is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to fostering leadership and community service among the youth.
The Crestline Noon Lions Club’s signature project is raising funds for scholarships at Crestline High School, further demonstrating their dedication to supporting local education. The club convenes at noon on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at VFW Post 2920 in Crestline.
