Janet Clady Dean, age 76, lifelong resident of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at her home. She was born June 29, 1947 to Howard Clady and Vera Heydinger Clady.

She attended St. Bernards School, 1-8 grades and graduated from Buckeye Central High School in 1965. Janet became a LPN from Sandusky School of Practical Nursing in 1967.

On February 24, 1968, she married Robert Dean, who survives. They had two sons, Michael (Sarah) Dean who have three sons, Damian, Derex and Dom; and Matthew (Kileen) Dean who have one daughter, Danielle Kaye. Janet is also survived by three sisters, Donna, Deb and Jane, who made our sister’s day the happiest; and five brothers, Jim, Dan, Dave, Dick and Doug who were always there for her. Her five life long friends, Sharon, Jo, Dee, Germaine and Nancy (who greeted her at heavens gates) were so special to Janet and she looked forward to their girl’s days out.

Janet was a life long member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and worked for Shelby Memorial Hospital for 11 years. She also worked for Dr. Charles Pillar DDS in Willard for 5 years before retiring from Mercy Hospital in Willard after 25 years of service.

Janet wanted to extend a special thank you to Bob for his very special care; and to Mike, Sarah, Matt, Kileen, Damian, Derex, Dom and Danielle, I love you all and appreciate everything you did for me.

Calling hours will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with her funeral mass to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Father Ron Schock officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church.
