The Crestline Public Library Adult Summer Reading Program “Escape the Ordinary” begins in June with several exciting programs.
June 15 starts off the program with a Red Cross Blood Drive, June 15, 11:30-5:30pm. Be a hero-give blood! To schedule an appointment call 1-800-REDCROSS or visit redcrossblood.org. Blood is especially needed this time of year. Donors will receive a Columbus Zoo BOGO entry offer and will enter into a weekly drawing for four Zoombezi Bay passes.
Jan Maddy presents her “Travels to the Orient”, June 17, 6:30 p.m.
City Councilman Clayton Herold presents a program on “Community Volunteering”, June 18, 6:30 p.m. Be a hero-get involved in our community.
Honor our military heroes on June 25, 6:30 p.m. John Shore will explain the “Honor Flight Program” and ways to volunteer and honor our servicemen from WWII, Korean and Vietnam Wars.
On June 29, 6:30 p.m, Common Pleas Court Judge, Sean Leuthold will discuss “Crime in Crawford County”. Be a hero and help fight crime in our county.

Who is your hero?
The Crestline Public Library Essay Contest “Who is Your Hero” is for people ages 11-adult. Prizes will be given for first, second and third for ages 11-17 and ages 18-up.
In 500 words or less, write an essay honoring a hero in your life. All entries must be submitted by July 15, 2015. All entries submitted must be typed/word processed. Name, age, phone number and title of essay must be on a cover page stapled to the essay. The essays will be judged by the library staff.
Grammar and spelling will be taken into consideration. The winning essays and winner’s names and photos will be posted on the Crestline Public Library Facebook page and in the library. Stop in to request a rules guideline. Essays should be turned in at the circulation desk.
