Michael Bowers, age 77 of Fayetteville, North Carolina, departed this life on Monday, Sept. 4, 2023. He was born on September 27, 1945, to the late John Bowers and Nellie Patrick Breymaier at their home in Magoffin County, Kentucky.
Michael is survived by one son, Johannes Bowers of Dunn, North Carolina, one grandson, Wolfgang Bowers of Fayetteville, North Carolina, one brother, Robert Breymaier of Newark, Ohio, one sister, Monya Cline of Bucyrus, Ohio, and one daughter-in-law, Kristen Bowers.
In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his sisters Barbara Breymaier, Barbara Kandle, and an infant sister.
Michael was in the army for much of his adult life having served numerous tours in Vietnam, Korea, Germany, and various other places. He will be honored with a veteran’s military service.
Funeral services for Michael Bowers will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from the Fritz Church of God with Dallas Patrick officiating. Friends may visit the church after 10 a.m. Wednesday prior to funeral services.
There will be Military Rites given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of the funeral service.
