COLUMBUS―Today at the Ohio State Fair is NBC4 Family Discount Day! Starting at 10 a.m., enjoy plenty of activities, entertainment, food, and rides the whole family will love!

Here’s what you can find at the Fair today:

NBC4 Family Discount Day:

Adults will be admitted for the kids’ admission price of $10, and kids 12 and under will be admitted free. Until 5 p.m., purchase ride-all-day wristbands for just $18! All riders are required to have a wristband or credits to ride.

Family Fun:

Bring the whole family to enjoy the wide variety of family-friendly attractions located throughout the grounds. Visit the Lausche Youth Exploration Space presented by Intel® for exhibits, hands-on activities, and endless fun in Tiny Town presented by AAA, COSI Space Heartland, Intel®, LEGOLAND®, Boy and Girl Scouts, Phun with Physics, 4-H, and more! Don’t miss the brand new Touch-a-Truck display on the lawn.

Travel down the WNCI Food Highway to find Little Farmers, Milk a Cow, Natural Resources Park, the free petting zoo, Kiddieland, multiple entertainment stages, and so much more!

50 Year Club Meeting:

Did you attend the Ohio State Fair in 1973 or earlier? If so, you’re a member of the 50 Year Club! Join fellow members in the Rhodes Center Auditorium at 9 a.m. for an informative business meeting, the awarding of the Giant Step Award, and short concerts by the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir and Band. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

Free Live Music:

  • Candace Compana performs on the AARP Ohio Gazebo Stage at 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. This Youngstown-based artist has a distinct modern country sound with a rock influence. Most of her songs are self-written and have received radio airplay and garnered excitement and praise from listeners.
  • Kazual is a family band of three brothers and a cousin that brings a distinct sound to the ears of their fans. Mixing the sounds of R&B, pop, and hip-hop together with old school, classic hits, and their own originals, this group is a Fair favorite year after year. In addition to performing A Capella, this band can dance just as well as they can sing. Don’t miss them at the AARP Ohio Gazebo Stage at 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8 p.m.
  • Blues band Deuce ‘n a Quarter will be performing on the Main Street Stage at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. When they perform their original music paired with classic American blues, they are bound to get you moving. Through an authentic connection with their audience and listeners, this band is becoming another American classic. The name alone will take you to a good place.

Livestock Shows:

See the Open Oxford, Columbia competition, as well as the shearing competition, at 1 p.m. in the Brown Sheep Building. Don’t forget to root for your favorite animal and junior exhibitor!
