Crestline scored six times in the sixth inning yesterday afternoon to break a 4-4 tie and defeat Bucyrus 10-4. The Bulldogs sent 11 hitters to the plate in the sixth against three Bucyrus pitchers to even their record at 1-1 and open N-10 play with a victory.

Crestline’s Sam Blaising limited the Redmen to seven hits, striking out seven and walking two.

Bucyrus’ Zane Richardson suffered the loss, striking out seven as the Redmen’s record fell to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Other area baseball scores included Wynford 13, Ridgedale 1 in five innings; Mohawk 6, Colonel Crawford 5; Seneca East 5, Buckeye Central 4; and River Valley 5, Galion 1.

On the softball diamond it was Crestline 9, Bucyrus 5; Colonel Crawford 13, Mohawk 2 in six innings; Ridgedale 19, Wynford 1; Seneca East 13, Buckeye Central 0.
