The Buckeye Central Buckettes advanced to the Ontario Division IV Sectional Final Tuesday night after defeating the Monroeville Lady Eagles 49- 40.

The Buckettes outscored the Lady Eagles in the first three quarters of the game, and with a 43-26 lead going into the fourth quarter Buckeye Central coasted to the victory.

Buckeye Central was led by freshman Jenna Karl’s 17 points, while senior Hailey Hildebrand contributed 11 points to the Buckettes’ offense.

Monroeville’s offense was led by juniors Paige Leitz and Haley Kramer who both scored 11 points.

Buckeye Central will play South Central at 6:15 p.m. Saturday in the Ontario Division IV Sectional Final at the O-Rena at Ontario High School.

South Central was victorious over the Crestline Lady Bulldogs, 85-16, behind Senior Anna Hintz’s 24 points.

cc girls gameThe Colonel Crawford Lady Eagles saw their season come to an end Tuesday night at the hands of Norwalk St. Paul in the Columbian Division IV Sectional Semifinals.

St. Paul was led by Sam Reer’s 25 points on the way to a 43- 36 victory.

Colonel Crawford finishes the season at .500 with an 11- 11 record. Colonel Crawford was led by Alexus Burkhart’s 15 points and Cassie Sager’s 14 points.

Norwalk St. Paul will take on New Riegel in the Columbian Division IV Sectional Final at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at Tiffin Columbian.

Lexington defeated Galion by the score of 34-25 at Willard in the Division II sectional tournament to end the Lady Tigers’ season. Taylor Valentine led Galion with 11 points.
