On November 4th, I was fortunate to be elected our county’s next Common Pleas Court Judge. I look forward to the challenges that this new position brings, as well as the opportunity to serve my community in a new capacity. At this time, I would like to thank a number of people who helped me through the election process.
First, I want to commend my opponent on running a good campaign. While the debate in this election was spirited, I believe that both candidates ran clean and positive campaigns that are indicative of Crawford County politics. Politicians at the national level can certainly learn a thing or two from Crawford County.
I would also like to thank the law enforcement officers and fire fighters who were willing to endorse my candidacy in this election. Your support and encouragement were greatly appreciated. The fact that you believed I was the best man for the job was a tremendous honor. Even if I had lost this election, receiving your endorsement would have made the entire process worthwhile.
I would also like to thank the people who worked on my campaign. Putting up signs, handing out literature, making phone calls are all thankless tasks. However, your help played a vital role in running a successful campaign.
Finally, I would like to thank the voters who put their trust in me. The position of Common Pleas Court Judge carries with it a great deal of responsibility. It will be my job to make certain that felony offenders receive the proper punishment. It will also be my job to protect the public from future criminal behavior. Over the next six years, I will do everything in my power to live up to those responsibilities and make Crawford County a better and safer community. Once again, thank you to everyone.
