Galion Community Hospital recently made a donation to the Galion Police Department that will be a benefit to Galion Police Officers as well as the Galion Community. The donation allowed for the Galion Police Department to purchase an IPOK Trauma/Rescue Kit for each sworn officer. The kits are equipped with emergency items that will allow for officers to begin treating open wounds on scene.
“The IPOK Trauma/Rescue Kits will allow our officers to render immediate first aid to themselves, other officers and to citizens when time is of the essence. Getting bleeding under control as quickly as possible is key to anyone’s survival. These kits will give those with severe trauma additional aid until our Galion Emergency Squad personnel arrive at the scene “ said Chief Brian Saterfield.
The Galion Police Department is very appreciative of the generous donation made by the Galion Community Hospital.
