BUCYRUS — A Bucyrus woman was one of seven defendants sentenced to prison on Wednesday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

Cally Prater, 27, of Bucyrus pleaded guilty to one count of possession of drugs, a third-degree felony punishable with up to three years in prison.

In a plea negation, Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Prater to 30 months in prison. She was ordered to forfeit all drug-related property and $171 in currency to the appropriate authorities. She will receive 121 days of jail time credit.

Brian Javens, 35, of Mount Gilead pleaded guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison. In a plea agreement, Leuthold sentenced Javens to a flat six months in prison. He was ordered to forfeit all drug-related property to the appropriate authorities. He will receive 64 days of jail time credit. Leuthold told Javens he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.

Michael Harvey, 37, of Bucyrus pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison and one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison.

In a plea agreement, Leuthold sentenced Harvey to one year on each count for a total of two years in prison. He will forfeit all drug-related property to the appropriate authorities. He will receive 72 days of jail time credit. Leuthold told Harvey he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.

Chase Parsons, 24, currently held at the Crawford County Jail, pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of his community control. Parsons was placed on community control in October 2018 after he pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony and each punishable with up to one year in prison. A misdemeanor charge was dismissed.

In February 2019, Parsons violated community control and was sent to prison for three years. He was granted judicial release in May 2019 and placed on community control.

According to probation officer Eric Bohach, Parsons overdosed two times in Marion and was found unresponsive, causing emergency medical personnel to respond. Bohach said Parsons admitted to using heroin.

Leuthold reimposed two years in prison and Parsons will receive all jail time credit.

“I wish you good luck. I don’t want to see you die, which is why I’m sending you back to prison,” Leuthold said.

Leannza Fletcher, 32, of Attica pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of her community control after she tested positive for methamphetamines during a routine drug screen.

Fletcher was placed on community control in September after she pleaded guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison.

Leuthold sentenced Fletcher to a flat seven months in prison. She will receive credit for jail time served.

Heidi Prater, 61, of Bucyrus pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of her community control. Prater was placed on community control in September after she pleaded guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison.

According to probation officer Kylie Sinclair, Prater was involved in illegal drug activity and tested positive for THC and admitted used.

Leuthold sentenced Prater to a flat six months in prison

Sarah Thornton, 29, of Galion was indicted on one count of possession of drugs (methamphetamines), a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to one year in prison.

Leuthold entered a not guilty plea on her behalf. Bond was set at $25,000.
