With the ambulance service contract with LifeStar coming to a close the Central Joint Ambulance District reviewed the bid packets Wednesday night.
The committee approved paying County Prosecutor Matt Crall for drawing up the packets for legal requirements. The bid packets, which can be picked up at the Crawford County Commissioners’ and Engineer’s offices, will be opened at the July 30 CJAD meeting.
The CJAD also reviewed the lease agreement for a possible station on Biddle Road. Under the contract reviewed the CJAD would lease the building for a contractual period of one year with a six-month opt out contract if the district would want to move from the building after the first year. Cost for the building would be $750 per month plus utilities. The Biddle Road station would be able to be used as early as July if the CJAD chooses.
During LifeStar’s report Superviser Corey Wright reported 207 requests with an average of 6.7 requests per day. One-hundred-sixty-two of the requests were transports, with 145 patients transported to Bucyrus Hospital.
Auburn Township submitted their entrance check into the CJAD Wednesday. Auburn Township representative Carl Rader informed the board that Auburn will be able to begin receiving service from LifeStar on July, 1.
The next CJAD meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on July 30.
