The Bucyrus City School District hosted its annual staff recognition dinner in the Bucyrus High School Commons June 4. The district honored an array of staff members for their years of care and commitment to the children of the Bucyrus community.
The 2013-14 retirees and their years of service are as follows:
- Walter Stauffer, 14 years
 - Mary Clark, 7.5 years
 - Pamm Duplaga, 29 years
 - Jane Potts, 18.5 years
 - Jo Ann Ridge, 30 years
 - Dee Ann Speece, 26 years
 - Ruth Williams, 20 years
 
Additional staff members were recognized for 5, 10 and 20 years of service in the district. Recipients and their years of service are as follows:
- Derek French, 5 years
 - Matthew Henderson, 5 years
 - David Layton, 5 years
 - Katie Leighty, 5 years
 - Katie Spaniel, 5 years
 - Amy Van Voorhis, 5 years
 - Jane Kepler, 10 years
 - Angelika Lederer, 10 years
 - Mary Meadows, 10 years
 - Heath Sager, 10 years
 - Kristine Fourman, 20 years
 - Carrie McMichael, 20 years
 - Pam Meadows, 20 years
 
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff members that were honored during the district staff recognition dinner, especially those staff members who have retired from education,” Superintendent Kevin Kimmel said. “Their countless years of dedication to the students of Bucyrus City Schools are very much appreciated.”
