As of March 1, Ohio had more corn stock than it has had in March in more than 25 years.

The United States Department of Agriculture reports Ohio’s corn stocks were 363.6 million bushels which represented a 44-percent increase from a year earlier. It is the second highest level of March 1 corn stocks ever in the state, topped only by 1987 when the state had more than 373 million bushels.

Soybean stocks were down 12 percent to 63.7 million bushels. Wheat stocks, at 41.5 million bushels, were down 21 percent from a year ago.
