In an effort to spruce up Crestline and to keep the village looking sharp, the Crestline Community Development Team will host the very first Crestline Clean-Up Challenge on Saturday, May 3.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the parking lot at Crestline Village Hall. Teams will compete to collect the most trash throughout Crestline.
Crestline Village Council Member Clayton Herold said, “The idea behind the Crestline City Clean-Up Challenge is a basically a spring cleanup of our Village after a tough winter. Several years ago we participated in the Mt. Trashmore clean up event that was sponsored by the Quality of Life sector of Crawford County 20/20 Vision.
“As a community we collected more trash than any other community in our county. We have a lot of community groups that are passionate about the appearance of our Village and we look forward to a successful event on May 3,” Herold continued
A winner will be chosen when the event ends at noon. There will also be a prize for the team that has the best “Team Theme.” Prizes for the winning teams are being donated by Checkers Pizza and Frank’s Treat Time. The trash bins are being donated by Kurtzman’s Sanitation.
The deadline to register has been moved to Friday, May 2. Any group wishing to participate should contact Crestline Village Councilman Clayton Herold at 419-689-3711.
