The Eagle’s Ballroom has received a make over as a new business held its ribbon cutting ceremony on the third floor at 111 West Rensselaer Street Friday.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was for Move Up Studios, which offers group yoga, Move Up on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday’s at 10:30 a.m. as well as private lessons to fit one’s schedule.
Move Up Studios Dance Instructor Dawn Cook explained what the studio offers saying, “What I am offering is called Move Up and it is a fitness class that I created myself. It has got elements of dance. So it is a 25 minutes of a dance routine plus it has elements of yoga, Pilates, isometrics toning, things like that so it is a 45 minute comprehensive workout that kind of gets everything moving.”
“Group yoga has been so great I love my students that are coming and I would love to have more come join us. It is just a great chance for everyone to clear their minds and enjoy learning something new,” Cook continued.
Originally from Bucyrus, Cook moved to Los Angeles to try her hand at acting. After L.A. Cook travelled to Miami as well as Chicago, picking up experience along the way.
“Coming here and moving back home I have a chance to teach everyone what I have learned since I have left,” Cook explained.
During the ribbon cutting Bucyrus Mayor Roger Moore said, “It is great to have another unique niche business for Bucyrus.”
Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Deb Pinion exclaimed, “I am thrilled seeing the youth come back into the community and invest in the future of Bucyrus.”
