If there’s a sense of déjà vu regarding this year’s championship finals of the Bucyrus Ladies Invitational, it won’t be hard to figure out why. The same two bowlers will square off in a battle for the title in 2017 as did in 2016.
Defending champion Tacsha Ridgeway won her match in the losers’ bracket finals on Wednesday with a 708-638 decision over Lisa Penwell. That gives Ridgeway a shot at Patricia Horsley whom she defeated for last year’s crown.
Horsley has rolled through her matches undefeated in 2017. Horsley and Ridgeway will go at it again in a three-game set beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday at Suburban Lanes. Should Ridgeway prevail after those three games, the two will bowl one additional game in a winner-take-all scenario.
