1. Wynford (3-1): The Royals managed to hold off county rival Colonel Crawford, 44-36 to stay atop the CCN poll for another week. Wynford’s next two opponents, Carey and Mohawk, are undefeated and the results of those two games will go a long way in determining the outcome of the Northern 10 Conference.

2. Galion (3-1): The Tigers absorbed their first loss of the season, 45-21, at Pleasant. Galion is in the meat of the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference schedule. Friday’s game with River Valley could be a tipping point for the remainder of the season for the Tigers.

3. Colonel Crawford (1-3): The Eagles gave Wynford all it wanted but still came up on the short end of a 44-36 verdict. Colonel Crawford will have little time to lick wounds as 3-0 Seneca East comes calling Friday. If the Eagles are to salvage their season, they desperately need a win over the visiting Tigers.

4. Crestline (2-2): The Bulldogs broke open a close game at halftime to win, with 20 second-half points, to defeat Buckeye Central, 33-18. Crestline goes for its third win of the season at Ridgedale Friday.

5. Buckeye Central (0-4): The Bucks jumped out to an early lead on Crestline but could not hold on. Buckeye Central hosts winless Bucyrus in an N10 game Friday with hopes of gaining that elusive first victory.

6. Bucyrus (0-4): The Redmen got on the scoreboard for the first time this year in a 48-13 N10 loss to undefeated Carey. Bucyrus scored its first touchdown on a pass play and added a defensive score with the return of a fumble recovery. The defense must avoid giving up big plays if the Redmen want to get into the win column.
