Bucyrus girls go undefeated in summer league play

The league format was two, 16-minute quarters with a running clock.

BUCYRUS (Crawford County Now) — The Bucyrus Lady Red basketball team completed their Summer League schedule at home on Monday with a 14-0 record and the league championship.

The Lady Red defeated Lucas 29-27 and Mansfield Senior 30-16 to finish their unblemished record. Competition took place on the five Mondays in June.

Other opponents included Fremont St. Joseph, Norwalk St. Paul, Lima Perry, Cory-Rawson, Western Reserve, and Toledo Waite.

Coach Brian Seybert is looking to improve on last year’s 1-22 record.
