NORTH ROBINSON (Crawford County Now) — A host of local athletes qualified for regionals at the Division III district track and field meet here Friday night.
The top four in each event advance, with boys going to North Royalton and the girls to Fostoria on Friday and Saturday.
Seneca East boys took first as a team, Colonel Crawford was third, Mohawk fourth, Bucyrus sixth, Wynford 10th and Buckeye Central was 13th out of 16 teams.
Crawford’s girls won, with Wynford seventh, Seneca East ninth, BC 11th, Mohawk 12th and Bucyrus 16th.
Boys qualifying:
- Pole vault: Logan Goddard of Colonel Crawford was second at 12-6. Ethan Shultz and Tavyn Debold of Seneca East were third and fourth.
Ivan Pirnstill of Bucyrus was fifth and just missed qualifying.
- Discus: Seneca East’s Brett Martin, Colonel Crawford’s duo of Dom Dean and Luke Christman placed second through fourth, respectively.
Martin’s 146-2 throw was a personal record.
- High jump: Lucas Bordner of SE took first at 6-0, with teammate Keegan Boes third at 5-8 (a PR), and CC’s Jacob Cochran fourth also at 5-8.
- 110 hurdles: The Eagles’ Roen Thew took third at 16-04 (a PR).
- 300 hurdles: Braxton Jenkins of Mohawk was second in 41.57.
- 100 meters: Cian Glennon of Crestline first at 11.21, Christian Neal of Bucyrus second at 11.48 (a PR) and Anthony Evans of Wynford fourth at 11.61.
- 4X200 relay: Bucyrus nabbed first with Colonel Crawford second and Mohawk and Seneca East third and fourth.
Maseo Hall, Demaris Munn-Page, DeShawn Cosey and Christian Neal clocked 1:32.03.
- 1600 meters: Karter Boggs of Bucyrus was first in 4:27.41, with Brayden Cleveland of Mohawk, Evan Schiefer of Seneca East and Colten Keller of Crestline also qualifying.
- 4X100 relay: Seneca East took second (44.46) and Crestline third (44.61).
- 400 meters: Wynford’s Evans won with a time of 51.18.
- 800 meters: Adam Scott of Colonel Crawford finished first in 1:58.26, followed by Owen Gahring of Seneca East, Keller and Jett Loesser of Mohawk.
Keller and Loesser registered PRs.
- 200 meters: Glennon got first with a PR time of 22.85. Teammate Parker Bowman was third with a PR of 23.02.
- 3200 meters: It was all Northern 10 Athletic Conference runners led by Schiefer, Shawn Auck of Colonel Crawford, Boggs and Cleveland.
Schiefer ran a 9:46.51. Auck got a PR of 10:01.13.
- 4X400 relay: Seneca East took second, Colonel Crawford third and Mohawk fourth behind Ashland Crestview.
- 4X800: Seneca East won in 8:17.10, Mohawk in third (8:24.05) and Colonel Crawford fourth (8:37.81).
- Long jump: Corbin Bloomfield won with a 22-6.5, followed by Ethan Shultz at 21-10. Crestline’s Carter Giesige got fourth at 21-4.25.
- Shot put: Justin Reiter of Seneca East got third at 50-10.5. Dom Dean of Colonel Crawford placed fourth with a throw of 50-6.
Girls qualifying:
- Pole vault: Colonel Crawford’s Gabby Roston, second at 11-feet.
- High jump: Isabel Stockmaster of Seneca East tied for third at 4-8.
- 110 hurdles: Stockmaster took second with a 16.90. Buckeye Central freshman Bailey Jackson finished fourth at 17.36.
- 300 hurdles: Roston got third at 50.26, with Stockmaster fourth at 50.45.
- 100 meters: Mira Holt of Colonel Crawford took first with a 12.77. Jocelyn Noblit of Crestline got fourth at 13.25.
- 4X200 relay: Wynford’s quartet of Allison Brewer, Willa Johnson, Megan Young and Briana Westrick clocked 1:52.58 to place fourth.
- 1600 meters: Rylinn Edgington of Colonel Crawford third at 5:34.03.
- 4X100 relay: Seneca East’s team of Stockmaster, Sayge Miller, Quinlan Burroughs and Cami Lantz placed first in 52.08. Colonel Crawford took fourth in 53.83.
- 4X200 relay: Wynford took fourth in 1:52.58.
- 400 meters: Holt at 59.06 won with Adison Stuckey of Wynford second at 1:00.00. Noblit got fourth in 1:02.91.
- 800 meters: Lantz of SE second at 2:27.14; Buckeye Central’s Angela Figueroa third (2:28.02) and Sophia Martin fourth (2:28.43).
Both BC runners’ times were their PRs.
- 200 meters: Stuckey won with a time of 27.19.
- 3200 meters: Edgington took fourth place in 12:23.50.
- 4X400 relay: Colonel Crawford’s quartet of Olivia Hardy, Rylinn Edgington, Gabby Roston and Mira Holt got first in 4:11.69, with Wynford second in 4:15.91.
- 4X800 relay: Buckeye Central took second place 10:31.98, just ahead of Mohawk at 10:40.76.
- Long jump: Mira Holt took first at 17-5.25, Noblit was fourth at 15-8.

OAK HARBOR — Junior Kalynne Butterfield of Galion qualified in the long jump, going 16-5.75 for third place.
No other Tigers qualified.
