Timothy W. Mitchell, 60, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his home in Mansfield.
Tim was born in Shelby, Ohio on November 27, 1958 to Donald E. Mitchell, Galion and the late Patsy (Gerhart) Mitchell.
Tim graduated from Crestline High School in 1977 and attended Pioneer Career & Technical Center in Shelby. Tim retired in 2009 from General Motors where he was a fork lift operator and worked in production after 24 ½ years of service. Tim was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859, Crestline. Tim loved working and fixing up cars and going to car shows and going to Norwalk Raceway. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and family. Tim enjoyed his Harley-Davidson’s. He was a mama’s boy.
He is survived by his children, Nicole (Shawn) McLaren, Mansfield, Curtis Mitchell, Pataskala and Chad (Danelle) Branham, Sulphur Springs; two granddaughters, Lilliana and Kileigh McLaren; his siblings, Deborah and John Schnabel, Howard, Sharon and Buddy Walters, Galion, Tommy and Sharon Mitchell, Crestline.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Friends may call Monday, December 10, 2018 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline, with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating.
