Mark N. Smith, 62, of Galion passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at his residence.
Born December 22, 1955 in Galion, he was the son of the late Ralph Dale Smith and Evelyn Lola (Ruby) Smith of Galion.
He was a graduate of Northmor High School in 1974 and was an installer in the telecommunications industry. Mark retired from Advance Network Systems and had previously worked for the former PECO II. He was a member of VFW 4329 in Galion and was an avid baseball fan of the Cleveland Indians and also a fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by children Jeremy “Jay” (Jennifer) Smith of Mt. Gilead, Valerie (Stephanie) Smith of Powell, Marci “Bean” (Amanda) Smith of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Kay Cee Anderson of Mt. Gilead; five grandchildren; sisters Karen (Tom) Furrey of Surprise, Arizona and Becky (Tommy) Smallridge of Chillicothe; brother Terry (Marti) Smith of Sunbury and dedicated friend Judy.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Adam Taylor officiating.
