BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl in Bucyrus proved to be both a fun celebration and a meaningful fundraiser, as local organizations came together to support children in need across Crawford County.
The event, sponsored by VFW Post 1078, American Legion Post 181, AMVETS Post 27, Bucyrus Moose Lodge, and Bucyrus Tap House, drew strong community participation and raised significant funds for two local charities.
Proceeds from the pub crawl were split evenly between the Bucyrus Backpack Program and Sleep in Heavenly Peace, with each organization receiving $2,046.
In addition to the initial fundraising total, the Bucyrus Tap House and VFW Post 1078 collaborated to raise an extra $500, which was used to purchase bedding for children served by Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a nonprofit dedicated to providing beds for children who do not have one of their own, while the Bucyrus Backpack Program helps address food insecurity by supplying weekend meals to students in Crawford County schools.
