BUCYRUS—A Willard woman pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of her community control. Crystal Polochek, 33, of Willard was originally sentenced to five years of community control in 2020 after she pleaded guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison.

According to probation officer Jeremy Clay, Polochek did not complete drug and alcohol assessment and counseling as ordered by the court, and also tested positive for methamphetamines, fentanyl, and other various drugs. Polochek admitted to the allegations.

Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold inquired about what drugs she thought she was consuming and Polochek told the court she thought she was getting a single drug.

“Whatever you thought you were taking it was laced with all this other stuff. We are seeing a lot of this. You think you’re buying one drug but you really don’t know what else is in it. Keep that in mind.” Leuthold said.

Honoring a plea negotiation, Leuthold sentenced Polochek to a flat-six months in prison. He told her he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.

Jesse Coffer, 49, of Bucyrus pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of his community control. Coffer was sent to prison in October of 2018 for 36 months after he pleaded guilty to domestic violence, a third-degree felony. He was granted judicial release in April of 2020.

According to probation officer Chris Heydiner, Coffer absconded from supervision and moved to Summit county without permission. He failed to appear for office visits and tested positive for marijuana. He also had an encounter with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and did not report contact. Coffer was arrested by U. S. Marshall’s in Summit County.

In a negotiated plea agreement, Judge Leuthold sent Coffer back to prison to serve the remainder of his prison sentence.
