Those who are required to frequently travel east from Crawford County had better get prepared for the color orange because they will be seeing plenty of it in a couple of years.
The Ohio Department of Transportation announced it is completely rebuilding a four-mile stretch of US 30 from Fifth Avenue to Ohio 309. That project is being planned for 2016 or 2017 and will come with a price tag of $68 million which is being completely picked up by ODOT.
Although one lane of traffic in both directions through the construction area will be maintained, work is expected to last one entire construction season and may be extended into a second. The project will include redesigning all of the exit and entrance ramps in the affected area as well as the replacement of several bridges.
