UPPER SANDUSKY—Two suspects were arrested early Thursday morning in connection with a burglary at the Butt-Hut convenience store in Upper Sandusky.

According to a statement released by the Upper Sandusky Police Department, officers responded to a commercial alarm activation at Butt-Hut at approximately 5:13a.m. on April 27, 2023. Upon arrival, officers discovered two subjects inside the business and a large amount of cigarettes missing.

Walt Beck, 32, of Galloway, Ohio, and Joshua Schade, 27, of Columbus, Ohio, were arrested and booked on breaking and entering charges. Additional charges may be filed pending the conclusion of the investigation.

Thanks to the quick response by officers, a large amount of evidence was recovered at the scene. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Upper Sandusky Police Department.
