It’s a new era for the United Way in Crawford County and the agency is doing things in a new way when it comes to raising money.
United Way of Crawford County is a merger of the Bucyrus, Crestline and Galion organizations and will be having fundraisers all week long to try and jump start its efforts to raise at least $300,000 in support of 19 area agencies. On Tuesday there was a business afterhours at United Bank in Bucyrus. All day today Jane’s Hunger Paynes Family Restaurant in Crestline is donating a percentage of each meal it serves and on Thursday Bob Evans of Bucyrus is hosting a Dine to Make a Difference fundraiser.
Pete’s Café` in New Washington is featuring the band Rough Country on Friday with a 50/50 raffle. The week of fundraising concludes on Saturday evening with an auction at the Galion Moose Lodge from 7 to 11.
