GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Stellar Industries is continuing to grow its presence in Galion, bringing new opportunities to Crawford County through expanded operations, including the recent addition of a second shift.

The expansion is creating new jobs locally and helping the company meet increasing demand as it continues to grow. Stellar, which recently acquired Elliott Machine Works, has already begun making an impact in the community as it builds on that foundation.

As part of that growth, the company is currently hiring for a variety of positions, including welders, painters, installation technicians, material handlers, and a production supervisor in the paint department, along with an engineering internship opportunity.

Company leaders say the expansion is about more than just growth, it’s about investing in people.

Shayla Agin, Human Resources at Stellar Industries, said being a 100 percent employee-owned company is a key part of what sets them apart. “As a 100 percent employee-owned company, our people are at the heart of everything we do,” Agin said. That structure gives employees a direct stake in the company’s success and helps create a culture built on accountability, pride, and teamwork.

For those unfamiliar with the company, Stellar Industries builds service trucks, including fuel and lube trucks used across a variety of industries.

The Galion location plays an important role in that work, and recent investments have helped expand what the facility can do. A new building and updated operations have increased production capacity while also allowing teams to focus on specific parts of the build process.

With that growth has come an increased need for workers. “We recently added a second shift, which is already creating new job opportunities, and we currently have multiple openings,” Agin said. The second shift is expected to continue growing as demand increases.

In addition to hiring, Stellar is also focused on developing the local workforce.

The company partners with local schools and organizations, including Pioneer Career and Technology Center and North Central State College, to help students gain hands-on experience and explore careers in manufacturing.

Bringing students into the facility is something the team values. “We love giving tours and showing students what manufacturing really looks like,” Agin said. Those experiences give students a better understanding of what to expect and help connect them to local career opportunities.

That commitment extends beyond hiring, as Stellar also invests back into the community through partnerships, sponsorships, and charitable giving. Through its giving program, the company supports local organizations on a regular basis.

Growth at the Galion location has already been noticeable. “When I started, we had around 40 employees, and now we’re close to 80,” Agin said. That momentum is expected to continue as the company builds out its second shift and expands operations.

Those interested in joining the team can view current openings and apply online through the company’s website. Individuals are also welcome to stop in for one-on-one assistance with the application process.

As the company continues to grow, its leaders say they are committed to creating opportunities locally while building something that benefits both employees and the community as a whole.
