Even when it goes away this year’s heavy snowfall could be causing us problems.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a flood watch for portions of Ohio beginning at 3 o’clock this afternoon and lasting until 10 o’clock Friday morning. The area affected by the flood watch includes Ashland, Crawford, Hancock, Huron, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Seneca and Wyandot counties.
The combination of rain and melting snow along with ice jams on rivers could produce flooding. Those who live in areas prone to flooding are advised to be prepared to take action.
