Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has taken a report from Crawford County Job and Family Services of a possible phone scam.
They received two calls this morning asking if their office is really wanting donations for Adopt A Family for Christmas. One caller was from a local business, the other call was from a civilian.
An individual using the name “Stephanie Carlisle” has been claiming affiliation with Job and Family Services and has been making telephone solicitation calls in the area. The caller has been asking for cash donations for the agency’s Adopt-A-Child for Christmas program.
Crawford County Job and Family wants it to be broadcasted that they are not involved with any operation asking for donations at this time. They do not make phone solicitations nor do they request cash donations for the Adopt-A-Child program. The woman is not associated with Crawford County Job and Family Services.
If anyone has received a call reference same, please contact your local law enforcement with the information.
