Press release

Crawford Park District naturalist Chris Rothhaar will lead a program this Saturday at Lowe-Volk Park that studies one of the few major sandstone outcroppings along this stretch of the Sandusky River.

The outcropping reveals the results of natural processes for rock and stone formation of this kind. Participants in the program can learn the many natural processes that build up and break down the most prolific rock along the stretch of the Sandusky River that flows through Lowe-Volk Park.

The program will begin at 9 o’clock on Saturday morning.

Lowe-Volk Park is located on St. Rt. 598 on the south edge of Leesville, three miles north of the U.S. 30 exit. For additional information on the Park district and its programs go online to www.crawfordparkdistrict.org.
