MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Renaissance Performing Arts Association announced its 2026–2027 season today, revealing a lineup that spans Broadway musicals, symphony masterworks, national concert tours, and a major physical transformation of the historic Renaissance Theatre.
Beginning this season, patrons will experience performances from entirely new seating installed throughout the auditorium. According to theater officials, the comprehensive renovation project is designed to improve comfort, sightlines, and the overall guest experience.
The upcoming Park National Bank Broadway Series will feature fully staged, locally produced productions of “Guys & Dolls,” “Oliver!,” and “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.”

On the concert stage, the Avita Health System Concert Series will bring country music star Jo Dee Messina to Mansfield, alongside a roster of tribute acts honoring Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Buffett, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, and Neil Diamond.
The OhioHealth Symphony Series, led by Music Director Octavio Más-Arocas, features a mix of classical and contemporary programming. Highlights include “Game On: The Sound of Play” featuring PROJECT Trio, the annual Holiday Pops, and a season-ending collaboration with the Renaissance Theatre for a concert production of “My Fair Lady.” The symphony will also host a free community event, “Classical Mansfield: Radiant & Beautiful Community Concert.”
For families, the Mechanics Bank Education Series will present a live appearance by Sesame Street’s Elmo, alongside youth productions including “Disney’s Newsies, Jr.” and the Teddy Bear Concert Series.
The Innovation Series will return to Theatre 166, the organization’s intimate black box space, with productions of “Dracula,” “Ruthless! The Musical,” and the contemporary hit “Come From Away.”
The multi-genre Spotlight Series rounds out the season schedule, featuring holiday traditions like “The Nutcracker Ballet” and “We Wish You a Jazzy Christmas,” alongside a screening of the classic silent film “Nosferatu” accompanied live by the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. The theater will also launch the season with “Pictures on the Plaza,” a free outdoor movie series.
