Press release

The Ohio State Highway Patrol in conjunction with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office will operate an OVI checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 1 p.m. tonight in Crawford County.

The checkpoint will be County Road 330 west of U.S. 30 and east of Stetzer Road. The OVI checkpoint funded by federal grant funds is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.

The Patrol reminds motorists that if they plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before drinking. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.
