BUCYRUS—In a special ceremony held before Tuesday evening’s regular City Council meeting, newly elected members of the Bucyrus City Council and Administrators were sworn in.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by Crawford County Judge Pat Murphy. Outgoing Council President Jenny Vermillion expressed gratitude to the new public servants for accepting the challenge of representing their community.
The individuals who were sworn in include Mayor Bruce Truka, Law Director Brian Gernert, Auditor Kali Lewis Morgan, Council President Kurt Fankhauser, Councilman Kevin Myers, Councilwoman Vicki Dishon, Councilwoman Carolyn Shireman, Councilman Chris Mauritz, Councilwoman C. Aaron Sharrock, Councilman Zyan Hickman, and Councilman James Mee. The first council meeting of 2024 is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 2nd, at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers.
