The Crestline Public Library has three big events scheduled for the month of October.

The library has invited Arlene Smith to present her adventures on a mission trip to Kenya, Africa. The program, which is open to all ages, will take place at 7 p.m. on Oct. 12.

The following week the library will be hosting ghostly movie marathon. The first movie, beginning at 5 p.m. on Oct. 19, features a reporter staying the night in a haunted house. The 6:45 p.m. movie will be a comedy about a legendary ghost pirate who helps the local town residents. The final movie of the night, which begins at 8:30 p.m., will follow the hilarious antics of a friendly ghost and his three uncles. Call the library for movie titles.

Library patrols should bring beverages; snacks will be provided.

The library will then host a Monster Bash for kids ages 12 and under at 6 p.m. on Oct. 26. The Monster Bash will include a 1989 movie about an 11-year-old boy who sets a trap to catch a monster under his bed but they soon become best friends. Along with the movie will be a craft and a reading of Monsters Love Underpants.

Sign up for the event begins Oct. 1 and is limited to the 24 children. Call 419-683-3909 or stop in the library.
