Colonel Crawford graduate and Galion resident Michael Link Jr. has been appointed to serve on the USDA National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection.
The appointment was made by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack last month. In addition to other duties, that committee contributes to development of USDA regulatory policy.
Link currently works for the meat inspection division of the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Link also graduated from the University of Mt. Union and is the son of Janice and Mike Link.
