Bucyrus lit up the night sky once again last night with its annual Fourth of July fireworks display. This was the eighth year for the event put on by the Bucyrus Kiwanians and they didn’t disappoint. The Kiwanians set off $8,000 worth of fireworks this year.

Kassandra Nicole Wellman couldn’t say enough about the show afterwards. “It was cool, I liked it, they’re really like pretty, especially when the ones come up and they are a different color than they are when they burst,” said Wellman. “It’s really fun, they are really pretty.  I like the finale the most, they’re like really big and it’s like really cool, it looks like they are going to fall out on you, but it’s really cool, it’s really fun.”

Kiwanis member Doug Watts agreed with Wellman’s sentiments. “We had a really good firework, I thought. The weather held off beautifully and the fireworks went off really well. Everybody seemed to really enjoy it. We had the hotdog man serving food.  We were selling glow ropes and little things that light up that they can wave and light up flags and things. Everything went well.”
