BUCYRUS — Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold issued a press release regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus regarding parenting time and child exchanges:

On March 22, 2020, Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton issued a stay-at-home order. The court has received numerous communications concerning parenting time and parenting time exchanges during the stay-at-home order. The court has reviewed the issue.

Please be advised that Section 14 subsection(e) of the Director’s Stay-At-Home Order with heading “Essential Travel” states as follows: Travel required by law enforcement or court order, including the transport of children pursuant to a custody agreement. Because of this, travel for purposes of parenting time and custody exchanges is hereby considered essential travel. However, remember that any individual engaging in essential travel must comply with all social distancing requirements as defined in the order.

Therefore, all court order parenting time and exchanges shall continue as previously ordered.
