The Galion Public Library will host Kenneth Hammontree for a living history performance at 10 a.m., Sept. 14.
Hammontree is an historian, lecturer and author who will portray John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed. Chapman planted over 1,000 acres in apple trees across, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
The event is free to the public and will take place on the library’s lawn. Registration is still required and can be handled at the library’s circulation desk or calling 419-468-3203.
