MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Kaleidoscope Speaker Series will continue its fall programming with a presentation by acclaimed investigative journalist Mya Frazier on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Theatre.

Frazier, a Midwest-based reporter whose work has been featured in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and Harper’s, focuses her reporting on how power operates within the U.S. financial system and its lasting impact on low-income households. She is currently writing a forthcoming book for Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group that examines the role of the credit reporting industry in driving economic inequality in America.

Her talk will be an engaging discussion on economic mobility in America, offering an investigative journalist’s perspective on the structural barriers many families face in their pursuit of financial stability. Frazier plans to draw from real-life stories and in-depth reporting to challenge assumptions and highlight systemic inequities.

Audience members are invited to stay after the event for a networking reception in the Renaissance Lobby.

A follow-up engagement session, titled “Economic Mobility,” is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Ontario Branch of the Public Library. This session is open to all for a deeper discussion sparked by Frazier’s original talk.

The Kaleidoscope Series is a collaborative effort by the Richland County Foundation, Richland Source, the Renaissance Performing Arts Association, and the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library. The series aims to explore complex issues facing Richland County through fresh perspectives, encouraging civic engagement and dialogue.
